Continued Help in Haiti

International teams of Tzu Chi volunteers were among the first to respond with emergency relief after that Caribbean nation’s devastating earthquake two years ago.

And local teams of equally dedicated local Tzu Chi volunteers continue helping Haitians regain and maintain their health, in cooperation with remarkably diverse groups of professionals.

For example, earlier this month a half-dozen of them donned uniforms to help educate and heal residents during a two-day mobile clinic.

They joined United Nations peacekeepers from Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Nepal, Brazil and Guatemala to bring badly needed medical and dental care to two neighborhoods in a memorable two-day health event.

As always, the volunteers directly responded to those in need with gratitude and compassion.
